Dedicated to the reading, writing, arts and coffee community in Blacksburg and Southwest Virginia. Dedicated also, in part, to the spirit of Blacksburg’s long lost independent bookstores: Printer’s Ink, Books Strings-n-Things, The Easy Chair Bookstore, Past Pages, Soft Covers, Books Below, and the Booksmith. We certainly have the available real estate, the proximity to a major university, the coffeehouses, the taverns and the eccentrics. Books continue to change hands through gifts, the YMCA Thrift, book clubs and luck. So we will be here reading and writing about books, coffee and life in the New River Valley until the Gentle Madness grabs hold of our local culture again.
