Thanks for the input. Not sure who gave me J. Neil Schulman's name but out he goes! Jeanette Winterson may hate science fiction but if one enjoys speculative fiction, she's worth a read. And this -is- the Tiptree memorial list, after all. I included all three of her names intentionally.

Unless something's changed radically, J. Neil Schulman is very much a guy. Jeanette Winterson claims to hate science fiction. Raccoona Sheldon, James Tiptree, Jr. and Alice Sheldon are all the same person.

Other than that, nice list.

Maddening! I have a friend that lost her domain to these scammers. They demanded hundreds of dollars and she ended up reluctantly giving up her domain completely.

Yeah, I wrote this up for a colleague at work, NoScript might be more than they want to deal with. I have installed it several times and end up taking it back off every time. Maybe I will give it another try.

If you want to take this further, noscript:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722
Blocks all javascript and flash and several other potentially dangerous page elements unless you whitelist the domain. It can be kind of a pain if you're not used to it, but you'll whitelist the vast majority of the places you visit within the first week or so.

This looks great! Thanks for contributing and keep it coming. We are getting ready to start the big push to get used books into the Easy Chair. Donations have already started coming in. Also using twitter and facebook to promote the blogs more. Rock on, Pris!
